Jane Eyre Obstacles and loveThe novel, Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte is a story about a youngorphaned misfire and her quest for love. Jane, the young girl searchesfor love and acceptance by means of each setting Gateshead, Lowood,Thornfield, fasten House, and Ferndean. Throughout these points in herlife, the maturation and identity recognition of Jane becomes visible.It is only when, Jane flees from Rochester and Thornfield, and spendstime at Moor House, that her maturation to womanhood is completed. Inthis moment, Jane is able to come back to Rochester as an independentwoman, knowing that she has a desire to love, and to be loved.If we look at the world, through Janes eyes we see that she is astrong girl who wants to erase her birth name as an orphan. We seeeach struggle that Jane tries to beat for an identity and for love.The take for opens up with Jane living with her Aunt Reed, who constantly prizes of her as burden, and low life. Jane is forced to live with herAunt Reed, fo r her parents die and she came to live with her uncle,who also later dies making his married woman promise him that she would takecare of Jane. Gateshead is Janes first home. Here we see that Jane isamazingly ego-willed and has a temper. We realize that she has thisstrong tempered when she steps up to her aunt, exclaiming, You thinkI have no feelings, and that I can do without one bit of love orkindness, but I cannon live so and you have no pity. I shall rememberhow you thrust me back -- roughly-- and violently thrust me back--intothe red room, and locked me up there, to my dying day thought I wasin agony I cried out, while suffocating with distress, Have mercyHave mercy, aunt Reed and that punishment you made me ... ...rn childs face. Janediscovered the maturation and the inner self of her woman hood. Shecan love, and is capable of being loved.This book, shows us the main obstacles that a woman had during theVictorian times. Many woman did not have it easy, and Jane was one oft hem. cleaning woman needed a high self confidence. It is hard for one to love,when they themselves, have never felt what it is like to be loved. Howare you suppose to trust those rough you, when all you have beenthrough is hurt? The main thing, a woman would need is courage. Janeis determined to find a life for herself. She is determined not to split up up. She is determined to show everyone that she could be loved.She is determined to show her aunt, that she could be anything thatshe wanted to be. It just goes to show that no matter how manyobstacles come your way, determined minds forever and a day win.
